Week 3 – Creating a Stakeholder Matrix

Using the information in the Love the City book as a platform, we have begun mapping the infinite stakeholders in the City, under the categories of people, enterprise, organisations and management. In each category, we brainstormed ‘types’, for example, under enterprise a ‘type’ would be culture. This then stimulated the team to think of key stakeholders under each type, to get as broad and varied a list in as short a time as possible. This framework allows for the vital, the random, and overlaps. It pulls the City apart and allows us understand it’s every component. The purpose of compiling this list is to find out, from key perspectives, why aren’t people coming into the City?

The next step after compiling key stakeholders is to develop groupings of stakeholders and specific questions we would like them to answer.
