Here are some photos I have taken over the past few weeks of the project:

Chicken Coop – Allotment at Bridgefoot Street

Here is a photo of the chicken coop in Bridgefoot Street. We heard about it from Dick Gleeson. I have never seen such happy and healthy chickens in all my life. The allotments appear to be very well managed and maintained and I think it would be a terrible shame if they were to be closed. The allotments were built after the flats at Bridgefoot street were demolished but are unofficial in status.

This situation illustrates the need for more “grey” in legislation around ethical and social enterprise.

Working Methodology

While wandering around abroad I began to open my mind up to my surroundings even more so then usual. Being naturally inquisitive I am always observing everything around me and use all my senses to absorb everything I encounter.

Although I did not keep a diary of my ideas/examples while I was away I had subconsciously stored images, ideas and concepts in my mind that I knew I could explore further on my arrival back home.

After recovering from my travels I made a conscious decision to sit down in a quiet place and put pen to paper on the images, ideas and concepts that were all floating about my mind.
